Will works with adolescents and adults, helping them develop personally and to overcome obstacles in their lives. He has spent the past ten years helping families as a counselor, a director of a local Young Life Area, a teacher, and a volunteer. Will has worked with people for his whole professional life. His life experience coupled with his clinical training make him an ideal fit for individuals, couples, and families.
EXPERIENCE
Savio House: Will worked with parents, children, the court system (attorneys, case workers, therapists, foster parents, and other professionals in the judicial system) to help children gain safety and for families to heal.
The Family Center: Will performed assessments (psychosocial, mental health, trauma, parent/child interactional) and counseled children, parents, and families. Will gained extensive experience and expertise working with survivors of abuse, people in power and control relationships, and the impact of domestic violence on family members.
Thede Family Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Will helped people with Autism Spectrum Disorder by providing family counseling, support with parenting issues, individual counseling, play therapy, and social skills groups.
Colorado State Employee Assistance Program: Will worked with employees of the state of Colorado (educators, police, administrators, and others), providing therapy as well as coordinating and facilitating assessments and trainings for work groups.
Seven Cedars Live and Online Training: Will educates counselors, nurses, physician assistants, and other professionals working toward certification as addiction counselors in Colorado. He teaches courses on addiction counseling skills, principles of addiction treatment, co-occurring disorders, pharmacology, group counseling skills, and client record management.
Colorado Christian University (Adjunct Professor of Psychology): Will taught undergraduate courses in psychology, both in person and online. Courses taught include: Introduction to psychology, human development, and integration of psychology and theology.
Young Life, Area Director of Rampart Range Young Life: Will coordinated and directed a team of staff, volunteer leaders and a board of directors toward developing meaningful and life changing supportive relationships with middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students.
