Katy Goggins, PMHNP-BC, APRN

Katy Goggins (she/her) believes strongly in creating a safe space for people to heal, improve their wellbeing, and feel empowered.  Katy will be present with you and provide the space to process emotions.  She believes that people vary greatly and values flexibility and collaboration with her patients in the therapeutic relationship. She wants her patients to know they are valued and understand that they are so much more than their diagnosis. Katy emphasizes the use of the individuals’ creative resources including, art, music, and humor. Katy’s experience as a forensic nurse provides firsthand experience in working with victims of violence and sexual assault. She has also worked in the community with patients experiencing psychosis and worked to improve their independence and quality of life. 

Katy’s Experience

Katy is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who earned her master’s degree at the University of Missouri in 2022. She has trained with patients in hospitals, outpatient clinics, community health centers, crisis care, and therapy offices. Her near decade of experience in both critical care forensic nursing have provided a strong foundation in working with patients from all walks of life. She has a passion for patient safety and making sure patients feel heard. Her experience as a mother, military spouse, and imperfect human has given her perspective and curiosity about the human experience and the desire to better it.

Katy’s Services

Katy is passionate about providing medication management, therapy services, and holistic treatment options to patients in a collaborative environment, making sure patients feel safe. She treats people of all ages and value fostering strong human-to-human connections. She is a space space for the LGBTQIA population as well. She is honored to be able to care for those who need mental health services and is diligent in ensuring evidence-based, effective ways to heal the mind and body.
