Ebony Trotter, MS, LPCC
You are the biggest and most important part of your mental health journey because it requires you to be open to the therapeutic process. It is not always easy to get help, but it is strong to realize sometimes in life, we need each other. It is helpful to have a safe space to process our feelings, thoughts, and emotions. It is also helpful to be able to look at things from more than one perspective or through different lenses.
Ebony’s Message for Individuals Seeking Individual Counseling
I am someone you can just be yourself with and I will meet you right where you are. I am not always going to tell you what you want to hear but I will be honest and real with you. I have a strong connection to the military community as I have been a dependent and am a veteran. I have personally dealt with heartbreak, grief, parenting, and other life challenges. There is no magic wand that just miraculously “fixes” or “solves” all of life’s problems, but I will collaborate with you to find the best set of solutions for your circumstances.
Experience
I have worked with a variety of populations to include adolescents, children, individuals, couples, families, military, substance abuse, and groups. Theoretical orientations utilized are but not limited to Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My goal is to help clients become the best version of themselves by equipping them with the necessary tools and skills to be ready and present to deal with moments in life as they arise.
