Experience
Cate has extensive experience working with older adults and their adult children, addressing the emotional challenges of changing family dynamics. She has worked with children and families regarding attachment and adoption challenges in both a behavioral health setting and within private practice. Cate also has experience facilitating the social and emotional growth of young children and adolescents in an academic setting.

Cate understands that seeking counseling can be a frightening experience particularly for those with a history of trauma. She believes it is important to spend time building the relationship and developing a strong sense of trust and this will be her initial focus.
